Invitation

The BaltCoast 2004 project team cordially invites you to attend BaltCoast 2004 - Managing the Baltic Sea. The conference will take place in Rostock-Warnemünde, Germany, from 26th to 28th April 2004.

BaltCoast 2004 focuses on research, spatial planning and management of the Baltic Sea. Aim is to give a comprehensive overview and exchange of information on Baltic ICZM aspects. We hope to help bridging the gap between science and practice. We invite all Baltic coastal and marine experts and practitioners to contribute an oral presentation or a poster. The results will be published in Coastline Reports issued by EUCC- the Coastal Union.

It is the fourth in a series of conferences in Rostock, Germany. The first symposium was held in 1992, entitled "The Future of the Baltic Sea Ecology, Economics, Administration and Teaching". The second event - "Sustainable Development in Coastal Regions a Comparison Between North Atlantic Coast and Baltic Sea" - was in 1996 and the third was the workshop "Baltic Coastal Ecosystems Structure, Function and Coastal Zone Management" which took place in 2000.

The conference BaltCoast 2004 - Managing the Baltic Sea is part of and funded by the Interreg III Project BaltCoast.
